The Manor House was built in 1872 as the schoolhouse for the village. It is built of local stone, the construction being typically French, it is solid and built to last.

The Manor House is a 2-storey building. "Built in 1872" is carved in the stone lintel above the door, which is a grand double door at 7ft high.Open this into the foyer where you will see the gorgeous old oak staircase This is the original oak staircase which ascends three levels of the house.

The ground floor has a huge room, which was the schoolroom and an office attached. This area will be locked and used for storage for the personal items of the 12 owners). Ascending the oak staircase to the second level, you will enter the dining room and kitchen area, where a breakfast bar will be fitted to the new kitchen. Walking through the dining area to the front of the building will bring you to the lounge room, where 2 deep windows overlook the mountain and the river. The view from here is of a deep gorge with a steep mountain slope covered in chestnut trees. To the right of the lounge room is a new bathroom, which also looks out over the same magnificent view.

Take the oak staircase to the top level where you will find a room with huge Oak Beams under the roof, This room is to be renovated and to include A huge main bedroom with stone feature wall, ensuite bathroom with spa bath and walk in wardrobe. This room has magnificent view of the natural beauty of the river valley.
